Mrs Johnston, a struggling, single mother who is pregnant with twins, is persuaded to give away one of her babies to Mrs Lyons, a wealthy but childless woman for whom she cleans house.     Convinced her child will have the best in life, Mrs Johnston agrees to the adoption on the understanding she will be able to maintain a distant contact with the child as he grows.

However, Mrs Lyons has other ideas about the latter and the twin boys are doomed to be separated for life, until they meet seven years later and become firm friends; so much so, they make a pact to become 'Blood Brothers.'

Here follows a tale of Mickey Johnston and Eddie Lyons; of love and conflict between two lads raised in different classes of life, yet the bond can never be broken, despite the efforts of their mothers to keep them apart.

Blood Brothers is a powerful and compelling story that provides a though-provoking, entertaining and fast moving production.
